Around Magnolia and Ballard

The weather couldn't be better and the members come out
in force for one of the club's Spanish Flair Rides.

This week's ride starts from Gasworks Park and heads to Magnolia
via Fremont on the Burke Gilman Trail and through the Ballard Locks.

After the locks the ride circles clockwise around Magnolia
and travels along the Magnolia Cliffs above scenic Puget Sound.

Going through Discovery Park, members take a side route down
to the lighthouse and back up again to check out the beach.

On the way back up members cut over to the Indian Cultural Center
and unbelievable views of the Sound below.

At the center, riders take a moment to check out the artwork inside
and to laze outside to enjoy the uncommon sunshine of the day.

Day's like today are not common in the northwest
and you don't want to waste a moment enjoying it.

From the center everyone continues back to the locks taking
them to Ballard and our next section of the route.

After a short stop in the locks to view the boats
riders continue on to the other side.

The next loop through Ballard still has a missing section, washed out
this past winter, but with a little work all made it through.

The end of the final loop took all to La Isla in downtown Ballard
for a little nourishment and socializing.

Then after a few final photos, all return to Gasworks Park
and the end of today's ride.
